Iran’s consul general in Dubai, Mahmoudi, expressed that the organizers of the voting process in Dubai were shocked when they saw the mass turnout of Iranian expatriates at the polling station in the consulate.

Mahmoudi underlined that 700 or 800 people cast their vote in the very first hours of the election process, adding that first batch of ballots was used and the second batch has been distributed among voters.

The deputies also connected with Iran’s representatives in Germany, Malaysia, and other countries in a bid to discuss the presidential election processes in those states.

Spokesman Khatibzadeh wrote on his Twitter account that despite all restrictions due to COVID-19 protocols in different countries, thanks to efforts made by my colleagues in the Foreign Ministry, this year’s presidential election will be held in 133 countries in five continents with the use of 234 ballot boxes.
